Cassanova was shown for the first time, as a yearling, in June 2007. He won a Grand Champion Junior Gelding, three Reserve Grand Champion Junior Gelding, and two Reserve Grand Champions.
At his second show in July 2007 he won three Grand Champion Junior Gelding, one Reserve Grand Champion Junior Gelding and one Grand Champion and one Reserve Grand Champion Gelding.
At the 2007 Iowa State Fair under two judges, Cassanova won two first places in yearling gelding halter, a Junior Reserve Grand Champion and two first places in his color class.
At the 2008 Iowa State Fair under two judges, Cassanova won two first places in the Two Year Old gelding class and two Junior Reserve Championships
At the 2009 Iowa State Fair Cassanova won first place in Model Gelding, 2nd place in Aged Gelding, first place in Amateur Gelding with Melissa Kinney as the handler, and first place in his color class. He also earned the Reserve Champion Senior Gelding and Reserve Grand Champion Gelding titles.
